Membership in the Cleveland Engineering Society puts you in touch with the region's engineers and technical professionals, connects you with community and business decision makers, and provides a comprehensive package of services to increase your networks, knowledge and professionalism. Student members can attend and participate in all CES programs and activities. They receive deeply discounted student rates, are entitled to FREE resume posting but do not have voting rights.
Each individual member in good standing is eligible to vote. Designates of corporate entities and affiliates are accorded the right to vote.
Individual members receive discounted rates for all programs, conferences, courses and events: includes two major conferences and tradeshows - Design & Construction in March and Industrial & Manufacturing in the fall, the Leadership Breakfast Series and Behind the Scenes Tours.
Designates and ALL employees of corporate members and partners receive member rates as do designates of affiliate organizations. CES members save an average of 20% over nonmember rates!
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours are associated with CES educational conferences, courses and programs. CES offers a sufficient number of such programs to fulfill the annual CPD requirement. CES programming provides opportunities for more than 20 CPD hours each year at an average cost of $20 per CPD hour!
Individual members and designates receive access to the online CES Membership Directory. The Directory is available online in the Members Only section of the CES website. Students have access to the online Directory.
Members are entitled to post their resume, at no charge, on the CES Career Resources web page which is accessible to any employer interested in top notch engineering and technical talent.
CES offers two $1000 scholarships annually. The child or legal ward of a CES member is eligible to apply. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to an academically qualified, graduating high school senior who has been accepted at a two or four year institution and who intends to pursue a career in the field of engineering or other STEM discipline. Applicants must have participated in extracurricular activities as well as demonstrating academic excellence. Scholarships are not renewable.
CES members have the opportunity to development leadership skills through participation in CES division and committee activities. Other opportunities include CES education outreach programs and activities where CES members conduct presentation for area students (middle school, high school and college level) and educators to create awareness of engineering career paths and to support existing STEM education programs.
