Ken Alfred Ken Alfred joined CES in January 2011 as executive director. Ken served as founding executive director of the Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition, where he participated in a number of regional economic and technology development initiatives. Prior to that Ken held various planning and advocacy roles with British Petroleum and on management teams of new ventures in the advanced energy space in NE Ohio. He also serves as Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the Kent State University Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation, and EIR for the community of Twinsburg. Ken holds a BA in economics from UCLA and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Tuwhanna LewisTuwhanna currently serves as the Associate Executive Director. She facilitates activities for the Build Up Greater Cleveland (BUGC) partners, aligning its education initiatives with those of the New Faces of Engineering RoadShow, and manages administrative and operational functions. Tuwhanna earned both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Public Administration degree from Cleveland State University. Prior to joining CES in August 2006, Tuwhanna was a Senior Program Manager with a local nonprofit agency where she managed a department providing support, training and follow up for City of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County workforce development program participants.
Program Manager (open) The Program Manager is responsible for managing the CES array of conferences, forums and speaker series, growing division and committee involvement, including building a new young professionals and women's division; continuing to build CES two annual award-winning conferences; and coordinating recruitment initiatives.
Ilaina Siggers Ilaina serves in the capacity of Bookkeeper. It is her primary responsibility to process, record, and report on the financial transactions of the Cleveland Engineering Society. Ilaina earned both a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance and an MBA Degree from Cleveland State University. Prior to joining CES, Ilaina gained 6 years of experience with a local Nonprofit, holding positions such as Customer Service Representative, Director of Membership, Business Manager, and later as an Accountant for the Organization.
