Description

DUTIES: Conducts and supervises preliminary planning for all facility mechanical design projects. Performs mechanical engineering design functions. Places Professional Engineer seal on completed designs. Monitors on-site project construction and resolves schedule impacts and change issues. Performs budgeting operations for mechanical design and construction projects. Prepares and finalizes requests for proposals for contracted designs and request for bids for contracted construction. Develops procedures for mechanical engineering design, installation, and rehabilitation of facilities. Performs other duties of a similar nature as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of principles covering HVAC systems, plumbing systems, boilers, compressors, piping systems and service garage machine equipment, etc. The applicant must have at least six (6) years of progressive experience in mechanical design, installation and rehabilitation of major industrial type facilities, at least three (3) years of which should be in a project management capacity. Applicants must be a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio or have the capability to obtain registration within six (6) months through reciprocity. Applicants must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite. Applicants must be knowledgeable about Local, State and Federal building codes and other applicable standards. Applicants must be able to work in office, operating facilities, and site environments. Applicants must be able to work with a variety of personnel and outside agencies towards common goals.

OTHER APPLICABLE INFORMATION: The performance of these duties may be required at any time of the day and night, any day and night of the week. This position is a salary non-bargaining position. This is a safety sensitive position and subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

SALARY RANGE: $58,747 – $77,840 annually.
