Summary-BS Degree in Management Information Systems, or Engineering Degreewith a combination of MIS experience required
-Minimum of 3-5 years of related MIS engineering experience -Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of engineering, chemical, and scientific principles, practices and procedures to the completion of assignments -Computer literate with working knowledge of MS SQL, MS Excel, and MS Access. Must be able to write MS SQL stored procedure for large data query output. Familiarity with J Script.NET and XML is preferred -Possesses and applies both practical and fundamental understanding of various consumable division products and processes -Good written and verbal skills and can work in a cross-functional team environment -Ability to work creatively within prescribed system constraints -Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments at the same time -Basic consumable product knowledge, both from a design and product line viewpoint -Understanding of consumable compliance issues, including industry codes and standards -Working knowledge of StarLIMS database system and general IT policies Description-Applies engineering and scientific principles in the design and execution of projects within Consumable R&D. Assignments are broad in scope, requiring originality and ingenuity within the specific field of specialization. Typically works as part of a cross-functional team on projects of larger scope.
-Assists in establishing operating procedures and conducts evaluations of MIS applications -Assists in developing/refining MIS and database applications to support new product development, product certification, and Material Safety Data Sheet preparation and control, in accordance with company and departmental policies/procedures -Typically, works with minimal direct supervision, conferring with superiors as needed -May provide task oriented direction to technicians, technologists and/or engineers level 1/2 in the execution of development projects -Maintains records of all work in process and documents interim/final results in the applicable format.
